Safe Spaces, Brave Spaces, and Therapy

First things first I want to start off this post by stating that I'm very much aware of the redundancy of explaining what a Brave Space is on the home page of my website only to follow up with an entire blog on the subject. I promise it's not as ridiculous as it sounds. I wanted to make this the starting thing I wrote because of my advertising on my home page. I'd like to define the concept of Safe and Brave Spaces for anyone who hasn't heard the terminology before, and to address why these things that were originally used to talk about classrooms are now being used in the context of therapy. I hope it will also help you to decide if you prefer Safe Spaces to Brave Spaces, the other way around, or some combination of the two so that way you can approach your therapist with this information and get the treatment you need.
